harmony exercise

I thought of gathering a few lovely versions of my favorite song.

In 1965, the musical Roar of the Greasepaint – the Smell of the Crowd opened.

The voice belongs to Mr. Price, just 23 at the time, and turning one song immortal!

First, my God and a Godess

Michael Buble

Wax Tailor

Nina Simone

The friars SBC 07

Jean DuShon

Joe Bonamassa

Because I love Him, and he lifts my spirit whenever I’m low.

Because it’s sunny weather, because He sings to me everywhere I go.

Because I have the greatest friends on Earth who deserve the best… everything they want they should get on the spot!

Just because!

spinning the wheel

The future has a way of arriving unannounced

George Frederick Will

So things don’t fall in place quite as expected, but as long as I’m living in turmoil of changes for more than a year by now, I should get used to it already!

What I’ve learned by now is that every change that took place was for the best. I shouldn’t plan ahead for too long because something more mesmerizing might come my way.

I’m shocked by my lack of shock. I’ll just adjust.

So, what’s next? I’ll play along.

new dawn

It’s so uncanny how things come together.

There are days like yesterday when I feel like God himself is patting me on the back and telling me “good job, girl!”

Compliments, good news, good words, good work, good workout – all in one beautiful day.

I know I used this song before to describe my mood, but now, my Guru is saying it better than anyone before.

looking for some affirmation?

fast love

Looking for some inspiration
Made my way into the night
All that bullshit conversation
Well baby can’t you read the signs?

I won’t bore you with the details, baby
I don’t even want to waste your time
Let’s just say that maybe
You could help to ease my mind
Baby, I ain’t Mr. Right
But if you’re looking for fastlove
If that’s love in your eyes
It’s more than enough
Had some bad luck
So fastlove is all that I’ve got on my mind

What’s there to think about baby?

Looking for some affirmation
Made my way into the night
My friends got their ladies
They’re all having babies
But I just want to have some fun

I won’t bore you with the details baby
I don’t even want to waste your time
Let’s just say that maybe
You could help to ease my mind
Baby, I ain’t Mr. Right

What’s there to think about baby?
Get yourself some lessons in love

In the absence of security
I made my way into the night
Stupid cupid keeps on calling the
But I see nothing in his eyes
I miss my baby
I miss my baby, oh yeah
So why don’t we make a little room in my BMW babe
Searching for some peace of mind
Hey I’ll help you find it
I do believe that we are practicing the same religion
You really ought to get up now
Looking for some affirmation?

Unbelievably Non Bitchy Entry

It might look unbelievable, but today I’m in a non bitchy mood. One of my long time favorites – George Michael – is playing in Bucharest less than 2 months from now!!!

I bought tickets and I’m so excited! I can hardly believe I shall see him live! Probably only a Madonna concert would mean so much in terms of memories connected to each song that will be played.

It’s called the 25LIVE and for me it means exactly 25 years of memories…  Each song brings to mind old friends, parties and various stages of my life.

On the other hand, I’m overwhelmed by the honor to be in HIS presence. Such a great artist and performer! I love his voice, his music, his lyrics, his personality. Everything about this person is AMAZING.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for considering Bucharest in your tour.

And not only me thanks you, but a teenager watching Careless Whispers and Last Christmas videos, a teenager dancing on WHAM! music in the disco, an aspiring student being inspired by Faith, a party going student mellowed down by Listen without Prejudice, a woman in love listening to your Older, Songs from the Last Century, and Patience albums.   All of us thank you for 25 years of happy moments which peak with seeing you live in my hometown.

God bless you, Mr. George Michael!
